Artist Entrepreneurs

Artist-entrepreneurs Katy Crowe and Coleen Sterritt developed The Halo™ by ArtAegis art storage travel frame.

After many years in the studio, painter Katy Crowe recognized the need for an easier, more convenient, and reusable system to transport and store her oil paintings. Her idea sparked a collaboration with sculptor Coleen Sterritt and the two artist-entrepreneurs founded ArtAegis. They developed the concept, built prototypes, and tested The Halo kit resulting in a product that fulfills the unmet need for “off the shelf” protection of 2-dimensional artworks in transit and storage.
